Mario Tennis - the ultimate Tennis game ever created and the ultimate two-on-two contest of any game ever. The B-Boys have been playing Tennis games forever, most notably Smash Tennis on the SNES, but now Mario Tennis has taken over. The combination of simple controls, deep gameplay, intense action, plus the world famous Nintendo mascots, makes it a winner. So too the combination of the UKKK and Royboy. Throughout the Smash Tennis era of some 5 years, they have remained undefeated. Their dominance continues into the Mario Tennis era, which, at the inception of this page, is barely 9 months old.
Rules1) Only B-Boys (as listed in the B-Boy Realm) are eligible to win the championship.
2) To win the championship, simply defeat the current champions in one match of Mario
Tennis. Best of five full-length sets. Match format can be altered on mutual agreement.
3) Champions get priority choice of characters and court surface. However,
"character" courts are forbidden.
4) The N64's Mario Tennis game must be used. However, on mutual agreement, any other form
of video game tennis - such as Smash Tennis - can be used.
5) The Champions must accept any challenge at any time provided they have not already made
three successful defenses within the preceding 12 hours. The challengers must make sure
that original N64 hardware, suitable controllers and a copy of the game is
available. Failure to defend results in the championship becoming vacant with the
most recent challengers then gaining champions' rights.
6) In the event of a forfeit where a team has failed to appear for a pre-arranged match, a
6-0, 6-0, 6-0 loss is awarded against them with the Championship allowed to change hands.
7) Current champion has choice of player positions (console ports) and controllers.
