Premium Pedigree Builder Installation

Download the file Sibrun's "Premium Pedigree Builder" program, save the file "setup.exe" to a folder on your hard drive (remember the folder location) after the download is completed, go to the folder and double click on the downloaded file "setup.exe" to open it. The following screen will appear:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

Users of older versions: You can download the new version, however if you have saved data you wish to keep it. Please locate the "data" folder on your computer - (C:\Program Files\Sibrun\data" and copy it to another location on your hard drive as the new program will overwrite your existing data  and set it back to zero (you won't be able to get it back). Once you have made a copy of your "data" directory you can proceed to install the new program, once the new program has been installed you can copy your old "data" folder back and over write the new "data" folder.

Installation of: Sibrun's "Kennel Management" : If for example, you  want to download the file Sibrun's "Kennel Management" program, save the file "KennelM.exe" to a folder on your hard drive (remember the folder location) after the download is completed, go to the folder and click on the downloaded file "KennelM.exe" to open it. The following WinZip Self-Extractor box will appear.   Click the unzip button to unzip all the files needed to install Sibrun's "Kennel Management"    to the default folder "C:\Dog Programll" once all the files have been decompressed, close WinZip   Self-Extractor program. Go to the folder "C:\Dog Program" and run the file "Setup.exe" to complete the   installation process. Windows VISTA                                                                  Some important Notes You must install this program as the "administrator" after installation the required directories will exist on your computer and the program will be ready to run, however some people have multiple users for the one computer this is where problems will arise Install our programs as the "administrator" The program installs to C:\Program Files\Sibrun This is where the file "Sibrun1.exe" resides. This file is used to launch the program. The Database driver is located C:\Program Files\Common Files\Borland Shared\BDE the program looks for these files, if they are not there or in there designated directories the program cannot run and you will receive an error message. Below is an extract from an email we received recently in regard to running with Microsoft VISTA  PROBLEM:  This program installs and works correctly until I close and try to re-open.  On re-opening it starts       normally and then windows message comes up saying program is unable to open and windows is checking for solution. WORKAROUND:  The only way I am able to open program is to right click and run "as administrator"  then it works fine until the next time I try to re-open.  So far I am unable to find a fix.  Can you help. Solution -  Problem was with my computer not your program  - your program runs normally now without having to "run as administrator" No Vista problems at all. Click on  pc's Start Menu, select the Control Panel, Select the BDE Administrator   Click on Drivers and Expand it, Now click Native and expand that, Click Paradox When clicking Paradox my computer showed   (c:\)   It should have showed (c:\bdehold) I aded the bdehold to c:\  closed and saved changes and rebooted and everything works fine.   What this does is point computer to the bdehold file which is under the Net Dir  (I wasn't able to figure this out on my own I had to have other outside help)    thanks Ted    This was an extract from Ted (surname withheld) on problems he experienced using VISTA, with Windows XP no reported problems.
