Two Versions

There are currently 2 versions of >Budget Manager, both of which are FREE:

1. the unregistered version which is the same as the full version except that it has a very small number of features disabled as it is essentially the trial version,
2. the registered version which gives you full unrestricted access to all its features.

1. the unregistered version which is the same as the full version except that it only works for a period of 14 days,
2. the registered version which has no time limit on its use.

Registration

As mentioned above, both >Budget Manager and >Home Finance are totally FREE for you to use but they do require online registration. The online registration process only takes a few minutes of your time as it is quick and easy to do. And, in case you are concerned about your privacy, rest assured that the registration process is totally confidential and that your registration details will never be given away, or sold, or whatever!

The reason why I ask folks to register my programs is so that I have an idea of how popular they are. This in turn helps me determine whether I should bring out new versions with new features or not.

Why is it FREE?

Good question! I myself am not totally sure why I am making these programs available to you totally and unconditionally FREE. Perhaps I want to give away something that is of great value to those who can use it without always having to ask for money in exchange. Perhaps I am wanting to help folks regain control of their home finances. It is a sad reality that we need money to live and that often there is only so much of it that we have to make do with. This sentence is probably bad English but you know what I mean!

If I was financially secure, I would make all my software available to you totally and unconditionally FREE as I thoroughly enjoy writing software and I would like to help others with the software I write. But the truth is, being a baby boomer born in the mid 1950's, I am seeking to build a financial nest egg for my retirement and am looking at selling my software online to achieve this. This is why most of my other programs are for sale.

In order to make it easy for you to use these programs, the following features have been included:

  • you can set each button caption to display an appropriate caption in your own language,
  • you can set each interface phrase to display an appropriate phrase in your own language,
  • you can set >Budget Manager to use your own currency - the default one is "$",
  • you can enter amounts into >Budget Manager with 2 decimal places but results are always displayed rounded off to the nearest whole amount (ie. zero decimal places),
  • it will automatically work with the type of decimal point used in your country ("," or "."),
  • you can do "what if" type analysis with >Budget Manager. This is a great feature that will enable you to truly balance your income with your expenses by helping finding the best way to allocate your financial resources/income,
• for >Home Finance,
• you can use up to 20 categories to organise your finances. These categories can be renamed at any time to something appropriate,
• it will automatically work with the type of decimal point used in your country ("," or "."),
• you can change the interface text to anything you want in your language,
• you can create a summary of all your bills and expenses which you can print for safe keeping,
• the tool tips can be changed to anything you want in your language,
• no currency symbols are displayed.

Requirements

Both >Budget Manager and >Home Finance will work with all versions of versions of Windows 98, ME, XP and 2000. They also require about 1 MB of hard disk space apart from the data files you generate with them.

Furthermore, >Budget Manager and >Home Finance can be easily uninstalled if you find that they do not meet your needs.

For your information, to the best of my ability, all my software is virus, adware and spyware free. I continually run Norton Antivirus with the latest anti-virus definition file to make sure that I am as up-to-date as I can be with virus protection. And none of my programs contain any adware or spyware code or programs. I have never supported adware or spyware programs, nor will I ever support such programs in the future.
