You will find listed below all the Cattle Ramp Software products that are available for you to download. All the downloads are FREE as we want to encourage you to give our software a try with no strings attached. We don't even ask for your email address prior to downloading our software as some web sites do.

Understanding the Colour Code

We have put together the following colour scheme in order to help you understand at a glance which programs are FREE, which are shareware with a 14-day trial period and which have a free version as well as a paid version.

Shareware - these programs come as full versions that you can trial for FREE for a period of 14 days. At any time during the trial period, you will be able to either order the program or uninstall it. Once the trial period is over, all the features of the program will no longer be available to you, but you will still be able to either order it or uninstall it,

• Shareware - these are programs that have a FREE version with some features disabled. You will need to order the full version in order to access all the features. Currently >E-Diary is the only such program where the free version does not offer file encryption and multi-user access as these features are only available in the Gold version,
   
• Freeware - these programs are totally FREE for you to use except that they require online registration in order to access all their features. The registration process is very easy to do and totally confidential. We require users to register these programs so we can have an idea of how popular these programs are. This is turn will help us decide whether to bring out newer versions with additional features or not,
   
• Freeware - these are programs that are totally FREE and that do not require any registration,
   
• Freeware+ - these are programs that are totally FREE, do not require any registration but a donation will unlock some of the features that may be either locked or limited.

Download Options

You will notice that for a number of programs you have a choice of 2 files to download.

1. Files Zipped - these are zipped files that contain all the files needed to run the program. With this file, you will need to do your own installation in the sense of: 1. you will need to create your own folder, 2. you will need to copy the files contained in the zip file to the folder you created and 3. you will need to create your own shortcut to the program. If you know how to install your own software on your computer, then you can download this file,

2. Easy Installation - these are also zipped files but all the program files are contained within the one INSTALL.EXE file. To install the program on your computer, you just need to double click on this INSTALL.EXE file and it will automatically copy all the program files to a folder on your computer and it will automatically create a shortcut to the program in START under the folder CATTLE RAMP SOFTWARE. Virus, Spyware and Adware Free

We have taken all appropriate steps to ensure that our programs are virus, adware and spyware free. We continually run Grisoft's AntiVirus with the latest anti-virus definition file to make sure that we are as up-to-date as we can be with virus protection. And none of our programs contain any adware or spyware code or programs. We have never supported adware or spyware programs nor will we ever support such programs in the future.

New Version System

As of January 2004, we have started using a new way of stating version numbers on all our programs. The system is easy to follow:

• the first number refers to the year when the program was released,
• the second number refers to the month when the program was released, 
• the third number refers to the day when the program was released, and
• the fourth number (not displayed in the table above) refers to the cumulative release number.

For example, if >Password Generator is version 2004.01.28 (#2), then it means that the last release of >Password Generator was on the 28th January 2004, and the overall build number is 2 (which means that it is the second release of that program). We have decided to use this method as we find that it makes more sense to us and we hope that it will make more sense to you too. The downside to that system is that looking at the version number, you will not know if it is a major upgrade or a minor one. However, by looking at the first three numbers, you will know straight away when it was last released.
