(un)Natural Selection 2007 - Feral Cats and Foxes

“In the (un)Natural Selection series series I seek to dignify without glorifying a much maligned creature the feral cat, whose notoriety is based purely on its ability to adapt and survive in any environment. The feral cat is a fine example of Darwin’s survival of the fittest and of human folly. The feral cat can be seen as a metaphor for the human race and its ability to colonise and prosper against the odds, in every environment on this planet. This mirrors the broader impacts of European settlement on Australia's fragile environment.
