A History of Tithing

"A History of Tithing" challenges the Christian's application of many biblical principles. All of us with experiences in tithe-collecting churches know how this seems to affect so many vital matters—the role of members and ministry, relationships between members and ministry, how and what gospel is preached, how administration is organized, and more. All are profoundly affected by how money is collected and given.

There is no doubt that the Scriptures teach us how to love and nurture all of God's children, promise rewards for good works, and urge the saints to assemble, especially on Sabbaths, and to share their spiritual, cultural, material and other God-given gifts.

Because of the paper's compactness, length, and other considerations, every interested person will find weeks of wonderful study in checking all scriptures and looking at various points alluded to in greater depth.

We hope you accept the spiritual challenge in carefully studying all the matters addressed and are prepared to increase your perspective in Christ-like living.
