Godliness and Godly Principles Is our measure of what constitutes godliness and are our definitions of "godly principles" in line with Scripture? What are some of the characteristics of true godliness, and how are godly principles defined and measured by the Word of God?
Sprinkling the Conscience The Old Testament records an example of the ancient Israelites being directly sprinkled with the blood of a sacrifice. What is the symbolism of this ceremony? What is the Bible referring to when it speaks of our consciences being "sprinkled" with blood?
The Passover: a Time of Watching Traditionally, we have called the Holy Day meal that we eat on the fifteenth of Nisan "The Night to be Much Observed". However, it not so much a night to be much observed, but rather a night to remind us that we are to be observant.
Love for the Truth What can we do to ensure that the precious truth of God is never lost nor exchanged for error? How can we continue to maintain our walk in the truth?
The Blood of Christ The precious blood of the Son of God has not been shed in vain. Its acceptance means reconciliation to God and deliverance from His wrath, its rejection brings curses and the vengeance of God.
The Sufferings of Christ It is possible for a Christian to suffer for reasons that are not according to the will of God. How is true Christian suffering--the sufferings of Christ--defined by the Scriptures?
Aspects of God's Foreknowledge The omniscience of God--His wisdom, knowledge and foreknowledge--is infinite. It is unsearchable, knowing no boundaries (Isa 40:28; Ps 147:5). Even the decisions destined to be made by human beings are foreknown by Him.
Space to Repent Why evil is allowed to exist and to prevail and how the delaying of the punishment of evildoers for their sins works God's purpose in the lives of His saints.

The Sufficiency and Centrality of Christ Our experience in the Church of God culture has been responsible for distorting the clear biblical teaching about the nature and role of the Son of God, with the resultant binitarian concepts of the Godhead we see extant today. This paper looks briefly at the sufficiency and excellency of Jesus Christ and considers what this should mean to us in terms of our reverence for the Son of God.
The Christian Rebirth The nature of our Christian transformation and the concept of being "born again" are considered. Each of us, if we are to experience true conversion, both personally and as a body, must allow the old self to die and the new spiritual man to be reborn.
Concerning Spiritual Gifts If we are learning to use the Word of God correctly it will cut and will reveal secrets of the heart that will cause some grief. Anything else is an empty, counterfeit experience. Some lessons from the Church in Corinth to help us.
In Wrath Remember Mercy We are told that God "has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens" (Rom 9:18). Is God's mercy whimsical or somewhat irrational, as some believe?
"Lesser" Sins In God's eyes, are there degrees of sinfulness or lesser and greater commandments?
Deliverance at the Red Sea The biblical account of the crossing of the Red Sea by the ancient Israelites is more than a historical narrative. It contains much meaning and symbolism for the people of God today.
Propitiation and the Wrath of God "Propitiation" is the word the Bible uses to express a critical feature of our relationship with God. This study examines this word and its use in the light of similar words like "forgiveness", "justification", "reconciliation", "redemption", "atonement" and "deliverance".
The Christian Fellowship of Suffering Understanding God's purpose for us in our trials and suffering allows us to offer to one another the same personal, tender comfort that God so lovingly extends to us.
The Unconscious and the Conscious How conscious are we of our own behaviour and motivations before God? Could we be unconscious to the reality of evil in our lives?
