Train alternative tram and bus routes

Routes serving Melbourne CBD

The following list shows tram and bus services that pass near railway stations and operate to or near central Melbourne.

This list is most useful during train delays of at least 40 to 60 minutes. Where delays are less, waiting for the delayed train may end up quicker than boarding a slower tram or bus.

Unless otherwise noted, all routes run direct to the Melbourne CBD. A seperate list of major cross-suburban routes is provided later.
