Exclusive Bretheren

The Exclusive Bretheren are a Christian sect who believe they are the elect few and separate themselves from non-members for fear of contamination. There are very strong imperatives for families to remain within the sect and members who deviate suffer ostracism and banishment.

As with all other sects, cults and religions, there is no justification for the beliefs that the Exclusive Bretheren hold. The beliefs are sustained through emotional coercion and peer group pressure.
