SURVEYOR Series

There exists a number of situations where a mast is required to carry a light, relatively delicate and above all extremely expensive headload for the purpose of scientific measurement or surveying.

Part of the design brief for the Surveyor Mast Kit series was that it should be easy to be set up vertically in a precise position and when set up should be capable of being rotated in accurate increments of azimuth. It not only readily fulfils these requirements but it is easy to handle generally and robust enough to withstand the rigours of military use. All Surveyor Mast Kit parts are fully NATO codified.

The design of the Surveyor mast is based on the successful PT Series range of Clark commercial masts. The base section of the 7 section telescopic mast assembly has a diameter of 108 mm (4.4 inches). On the lower half of the mast four adjustable attachable legs fit to a special collar to support the mast on soft or hard ground sloping up 24 degrees. The legs are secured by drop head pins and the collar carries a bubble level for vertical alignment.
