MADLLIPS is a group of 3 extraordinary musicians who
have been performing together for many years.
Skill, talent, musicianship and fun are what it's all about
for these 3 musos. Pat, Ken and Rick have been playing music for most of
their lives and have performed in many bands.
MADLLIPS has been exciting audiences for over
10 years.
... well there's no secret really.
What we do comes from the heart and our hands.
Many bands these days use sequencers and pre recorded
backing tapes... a bit like karaoke really.
The only gadget we use is a drum machine which we turn
on and off for our back beat. This is so we can control the volume and fit into
the smallest corners and still produce a great sound. All the rest is
us. All the vocals are real. All the guitars are real. All the solos are real
and all the mistakes (if any!) are real, but we dare you to pick
'em!
MADLLIPS love to play. It is all about LIVE music played by REAL musicians. That's what we do and we are told time and time again that we do it well. Most of our bookings are from previous performances where someone has seen us, recommended us, taken a card or checked our website and booked us for their function, wedding, houseparty or whatever.
LIVE music as sadly lacking these days with the disappearance of good live venues, the introduction of poker machines and the proliferation of DJ's who simply play records, CD's or an iPod playlist.
