Carol

Having finally managed to see the old episodes once again, I have to revise my opinion of Carol. I had said she was a weak link, but nothing could be further from the truth. Carol, while still not as good as Elizabeth, was a very strong character. She showed a great deal of affection towards the younger TP, and like Liz after her, was a strong right hand to John. Carol was courageous, willing to sacrifice her life for the Earth.

That's not to say she was perfect. She tended towards the melodramatic at times, and she did have an awful habit of getting excited. But I think she had a true insight into what it meant to be a TP - perhaps even more so than John.
