I first purchased the car in 1987 from a friend of mine, who at the time owned a wrecking yard for Z Cars. The car had been written-off by an insurance company after it had been involved in an accident.

I purchased the car as a rolling chassis, with doors only. The purchase price was $1000. Unfortunately the left hand front rail was sitting in the transmission tunnel, so it did need a lot of work.

Unfortunately I don't have any pre-build photos, but the following pages will let you see what work was done etc. The first time it turned a wheel in anger on the track was 1988.
