Audio Pilot, Warnings and Disclaimers
Hardware and software sometimes fail. From time to time and without
warning the GPS system and/or the Audio
Pilot may give inaccurate information, incorrect information or no
information.
Accuracy of the Course Over Ground calculated by a GPS is dependent on
Speed Over Ground. If the boat speed is less than a couple of knots
then the COG calculated is generally significantly in error.
The Audio Pilot is not waterproof. It should be placed in a plastic
ziplock bag or similar during use if
there is any risk of spray or splash.
If the Audio Pilot's batteries are fitted the wrong way about then its
microcontroller will be destroyed.
