Beamish Family

Ginni Swanton has supplied  some information about Sarah Swanton and Richard Beamish from a fellow researcher in Ireland -
A little bit about Swanton's of Durrus.
I  assume that Julia Donovan came from Dunmanway, so many of the children went back to marry there.
I have nothing on Francis Beamish of Milane but it is obvious that he would have to be the son of the Francis Beamish listed in the Tithes for Milane. Most of the Swanton references come from the recent records I got from Cobh.
Benjamin Swanton married
Julia Donovan 1804.

Mary of Cloonee married George Kingston 15/02/1829 St Finbarres Cork (Farmer)
Probably Kingston of Knockeenbwee Upper, Dromdaleague (adjoining Milane, Fanlobus)
Sarah of Cloonee married Richard Beamish, St Nicholas Cork 29th June 1828
Milane, Fanlobus near Dunmanway (Farmer)
(Farmer) married Susanna O Hara of Fanlobus Parish 19th Feb 1828 St Finbarres  Cork.
Probably Mohana townland. James listed in Cloonee Kilmacomogue, adjoining Cloonee Durrus.
Benjamin married Mary Swanton 1834 (MLB) Listed in Griffith as farming in Cloonee, Durrus. (Their son Benjamin born (1856) married Mary Kingston and lived in Milane Fanlobus and died 13th October 1923will listed by Jasper Swanton)

Based on having adjoining farm in Cloonee, Durrus

Based on having adjoining farm in Cloonee, Kilmacomogue.
