WESTERN BEACH BOAT CLUB INC. INTRODUCTION
If you are a boating enthusiast and also enjoy the company of others with similar interests, then this is the club for you. We are an easy going and friendly club and have plenty to offer to those who partake in boating and social activities.
Our competitive fees offer an affordable alternative to your boating needs, with excellent boating facilities and social club activities for its members and families.

The Western Beach Boat Club was founded in 1955 and is ideally located along the foreshores of Corio Bay, Geelong, in the state of Victoria. We are in close proximity to Smorgy's restaurant on Cunningham Pier, and in particular Steampacket Place, where much development is currently taking place We are only walking distance from the main shopping centre of Geelong and also to the many attractions including the National Wool Museum.
Our clubrooms overlook the bay and also has historical
significance
to Geelong. It was in the last century, approximately 118 years ago
that
the building was used as the boatshed for the Corio Bay Rowing Club.
The
building is well equipped with a recently refurbished kitchen, which is
big enough to hold functions including weddings of up to 70 guests.
There
are several social functions held throughout the year including the
Club
Open Day, family functions and BBQs.
The Club also holds a Restricted Club Liquor Licence to sell Liquor
on the premises.
FACILITIES INCLUDING YARD STORAGE
The club is equipped with a well fitted out workshop, slipping facilities to handle boats up to 20 tonne and also storage space for up to 15 large boats. This is ideal for those who are currently refurbishing or building boats and who need somewhere more convenient to work. In addition there is also undercover storage space for dinghies. At the end of the day whether it be boating, fishing, or working there are showers available to freshen up.
The jetty is also a major asset to the club. It was recently built as a joint venture between the Port Authority of Geelong and the members of the WBBC, and is fitted out with power and lighting. In addition the club have swing mooring facilities for some seventy vessels with the potential for further expansion. All moorings meet the same safety standards laid down by the Port Authority.
Membership fees are as follows:
Ordinary Member: $290, (Nomination Fee $320 - Applicable to Ordinary Membership Application only).
Family Member: $300
Associate Member: $30
Senior Citizen: $200
Junior Member $10
