Diane graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Gold and Silver Smithing in 1967 and has worked professionally as an artist Jeweller for the past thirty years. During this period she has operated her own Jewellery gallery in Melbourne for 15 years, exhibited work in a number of private galleries, completed many hundreds of commission pieces and traveled and studied Jewellery design extensively. Diane has also held an exhibition in collaboration with other women artists annually for the past 14 years.

Besides practicing as a full time artist jeweller for over 30 years, she has taught jewellery making at TAFE colleges and mentored young jewellery graduates through her affiliation with the Meat Market Arts and Craft Centre.
