LOVE

The basis of entire world is the PREMA (divine love) of the Lord. Even if one is able to get by heart all the essence of the Vedas (sacred teachings) and even one is able to compose poetry in very attractive manner, if  that person does not have a purified heart, he is useless person. What other greater truth I communicate to you.

The Earth is a great enterprise, a busy factory, where the product is love. By means of SADHANA (spiritual practice), it is possible to produce love and export it to millions and millions of people in need of it. The more it is shared, the more deeper it becomes, the sweeter its taste, and the vaster the joy. By means of love, one can approach God and stay in his presence, for God is love, and when one lives in love he is living in God.

Love is God, God is love. Where there is love, there  God is certainly evident. Love more and more people, love them more and more intensely. Transform the love into service, transform the service into worship. That is the highest SADHANA (spiritual practice).

You must cultivate love towards everyone, regardless of what they are like or what they do. You have no right to judge whether a person is good or bad, or whether an action of his is good or bad. Leave the judgement to God. He is the only Judge of persons, things and actions. What you have to do is to offer love to others. However hateful a person may be, you must show love, affection, understanding, tolerance, sympathy, charity and compassion. All these are SATWIC (pure) qualities, Godly qualities. It is the only way. Love is the only remedy, the only cure for any human malady. It is the only way in which you will get a positive favourable response.

          For how long can a person hold out against love? For how long can he remain unaffected by its sweetness? Sooner or later he will succumb to it. How can he reject that which is his true, intrinsic nature? Does one reject happiness and joy? No, because happiness is the natural state and unhappiness is the unnatural state. So also, love is the natural state and all other contrary emotions are unnatural. Therefore, when you send a wave of spontaneous love to a person, it bound to strike some chord in him or her.  When you go on showering love, it will slowly begin to cleanse and purify, and soon the undesirable traits will be weeded out and goodness will shine through.

Love is the only alchemy, the only solution in the KALI YUGA. It is the only possible weapon with which to fight the evil tendencies. One should not meet hate with hate. One should meet hate with love. I tell you, love is the most wonderful thing and can work great miracles by changing the very nature and character of man. It works from within the person, from inside, and so the change is more through and absolute, though the curing process is slow. Therefore, develop love towards everyone. You must try and see the goodness in them. No one can be completely bad. There will be at least one redeeming quality in him and that is enough to start with. Hold on to that and ignore the baser qualities. Don’t look for the bad, look only for the good, See good, be good and do good. Give them love without desire for return or reward. Then you will surely realise God.

1. What is love? Why should we develop love?

What is more important is that all mankind and everything in the universe are bound together by the same bond and that is LOVE. The entire creation is a kinship of love. What is God? What is energy? What is consciousness? They are nothing but Love. God is Love. It is the power of love  along that binds all humanity alike. It is intangible force that forges the unity of all creation. If you are able to feel this love, then you have realised the Highest Truth.

Love is a divine quality in man. But it should be shown not only towards other human beings, but also towards birds, beasts and other living creatures. True culture lies in such an expansion of love, giving up narrowness and developing broad-mindedness which results in real joy for oneself and for the society as well. 2. How is PRAMA (Love) to be  cultivated?

Love is God, God is love. Where there is love, there is God is certainly evident. Love more and more people, love them more and more intensely. Transform the love into service. transform the service into worship. That is the highest SADHANA (spiritual practice).

It can be done through two methods :

          1. Consider always the faults of others, however big, to be insignificant and negligible, consider  your faults to be big and feel sad and repentant. By these means, you acquire the qualities of brotherliness and forbearance.

          2. Whatever you do, with yourself or with others, do it remembering that God is omnipresent. He sees and hears and knows everything. Whatever you speak, remember that God hears every word; discriminate between the true and false and speak only the truth; whatever you do, discriminate between right and wrong and do only the right. Endeavour every moment to be aware of the omnipotence of God.

3. Can God be known without cultivating love?

Without loving or being loved, no being can exist on the earth. Love sustains, love strengthens, love is the urge behind all adventure, all sacrifice, all success.

4. Can we love God without loving other people?

I have come to restore love among mankind, to cleanse if of narrowness, and restrictive attitudes. This is the main task, in the revival of DHARMA.

If you love your ATMA(Self) and not your body, you will realise that the same ATMA is the core of every being and you will start loving every being as much as you do yourselves. This is self-realisation.

5. What is the true test for love?

Love exists for Love, and not for any return. Love is not mercenary. It does not involve give and take like business. Love finds joy in giving. Everything is Love. Love does not watch through the physical eye, it knows the heart. Love does not hear through the ears, it listens with peace. Love does not talk with words, it talks with compassion.
