About the API

The Australian Post-Tel Institute (API) was established in 1918 as a not for profit membership organisation offering many benefits for employers and employees alike.

Created for employees of the then Postmaster General's Department (now Telstra and Australia Post) its constitution now enables the enrolment of members from other organisations.

Its aim, which has remained the same throughout the years, is to enhance the quality of life of its members and their families by providing and maintaining a wide range of facilities and services to meet their needs.

The API Computer Users Group is one of many Clubs associated with the API.
