Unframed paintings are posted with a mount and heavily protected. I have sent paintings as far as Europe, Alaska and the USA without problems. Sending frames unframed is safer, cheaper for the buyer, and allows the buyer to choose a frame to suit their own taste and decor. Some paintings are framed as they have been exhibited.
