Ann Jeffree - Wildlife and Pet Portrait Artist

I'm based in rural Victoria, Australia, and paint animals in appreciation of their beauty and ability to give of themselves. Always a keen animal lover, I progressed through school daydreaming out the window and going to the zoo to sketch. This didn’t help my academic progress much, but provided me with a broad experience to draw from (pardon the pun). I still hit the zoo with my sketchpad now and again to renew my spirits and visit old friends.

I have successfully exhibited a number of times, and have won several awards, including a "Best Pastel" in the prestigious Wildlife Art Society of Australasia’s exhibition.

I am not a prolific producer, and as painting often gets squeezed in between my many other interests, I sometimes find myself painting after midnight in order to fit it in!
